Bird Habitat Conservation Mapping Tool and Webinar
The Northeast Bird Habitat Conservation Initiative (NBHCI) will host a webinar to introduce and showcase the NBHCI Mapping Tool. This easy to use, interactive tool is designed to help Regional Conservation Partnerships, Land Trusts, and practitioners use birds as tools to support activities such as habitat management plan and stewardship plan development, land prioritization and acquisition, and landowner and community engagement, all through the lens of bird conservation.
This product showcases eBird Status & Trends (S&T) breeding season data for 43 bird species in five habitat types across the Northeast. This webinar will be held on February 14, 2024 (10:00-11:30am ET) and will introduce tool use, describe bird layers, provide case study examples, and engage participants in facilitated discussion.
