Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention by Johann Hari

I want to recommend the book Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention by Johann Hari. It details how our attention is currency being manipulated by greater forces, distracting us from glaring issues that, if we were united and focused on, we could potentially change. Issues like affordability and access to nutritional food, detrimental labor laws, the rapid onset of climate change, the extremely high rates of ADHD in children, and access to affordable housing. Hari beautifully weaves his thoughts (and calls-to-action) together, referencing an extensive list of interviews with experts in each corresponding field, and motivates readers to change that which hurts us, starting at the top. I couldn't recommend this book more; I think it is extremely relevant and a great catalyst for integrated and expansive change.
